About Us

St. Peter Lutheran Church was founded in 1858.

We are part of the Northwestern Ohio Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

cornerstoneOur style of worship is what many would call “traditional,” but we are not afraid to try new songs or blend in “contemporary” elements of worship every now and then. We understand that true, spiritual worship can take many forms, so we do not fuss too much about the style of worship as much as we desire to clearly proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ in all we say and do. We follow the liturgical calendar and generally our readings come from the Revised Common Lectionary. We provide worship bulletins that guide you through every part of our liturgy so you can feel at home. The decision to dress up or dress casually for church is up to you.

Holy Communion is offered every Sunday with very few exceptions. All baptized Christians who believe that Jesus is Lord are invited to share Communion with us, regardless of denomination.
